Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Receipt Pair ("the service"), operated from Denmark. By creating an account you accept them. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind that company.
1. What the service does
Receipt Pair reads business transactions from sources you connect (bank feeds, card alerts, imported statements), searches the email inboxes you connect for matching receipts and invoices, extracts their data, and files them to the accounting systems you choose. It also produces reports such as missing-receipt lists and VAT-return bases.
The service assists bookkeeping. It does not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice, and it does not replace your obligation to review the records filed in your name.
2. Accounts and access
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials confidential. Two-factor authentication is available and recommended.
- You are responsible for actions taken under your account and for the roles you grant to teammates, employees, and accountants.
- You must be at least 18 years old and use the service for legitimate business purposes.
3. Connected services
When you connect an inbox, bank, or accounting system, you authorize Receipt Pair to access it within the scopes shown at connection time: read-only for email and bank sources. You confirm you are permitted to grant that access and that the data processed belongs to you or your business.
Third-party services (Google, Microsoft, Wise, Enable Banking, your accounting provider) are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or changes to their APIs.
4. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the service to process data you have no right to process;
- attempt to access another customer's workspace or data;
- interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or exceed rate limits;
- use the service for unlawful content, fraud, or to file falsified documents;
- resell or white-label the service without a written agreement.
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.
- You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. We do not refund partial periods.
- Free or trial usage may be limited in volume or features.
6. Your data
You retain all rights to your data: transactions, receipts, and documents. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can export your data at any time and delete your workspace, which removes it from our systems as described in the data help article.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where possible. We may change features over time; material reductions to a paid plan's functionality entitle you to cancel for a pro-rata refund of the remaining period.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or data loss caused by third-party services. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under Danish consumer rules where they apply.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or legal requirement. On deletion, your data is removed per the privacy policy; legal retention obligations may apply to billing records.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are settled by the courts of Denmark, without prejudice to mandatory consumer venue rules.
